9/26/19 – Door Dash confirmed an unauthorized third-party service gained access to customers, drivers and merchants’ user data on May 4, 2019. Approximately 4.9 million were affected. They were really outdone by the hacker…. You might even say he ate the cyber security team’s lunch!

9/12/19 – Zynga, a global leader in interactive entertainment with a mission to connect the world through games (how noble) released a “Player Security Announcement”. Approximately 200 million accounts were reportedly accessed. Nobody noticed the announcement because they were all too busy playing games…

7/30/19 – Capital One announced that they “suffered a data security incident and that up to 100 million people in the U.S. were affected.“ An unauthorized individual was able to access the sensitive personal data contained in applications for credit products from 2005 to 2019. So really… Capital One’s cyber security was affected, and 100 Million people suffered.

But not to worry – they all have assured us that they take the security of their community very seriously, have engaged outside experts, contacted law enforcement and taken immediate steps to block further access. Problem is … it’s too late for all that. But thanks anyway.
