I’m feeling awfully down lately. Sadly, I am better suited for a life ‘online’ than one rich in human interaction (Sigh)…

I mean, I have Abandonment issues which give rise to my anxiety and cause me to exhibit behavior that perpetuates shallow relationships. But when I leave a webpage before completing a purchase, I don’t feel as bad. The way in which I conduct myself throughout the day leaves much to be desired. But my online web browsing history, such as the pages I have visited or the searches I have made, records Behavior which I am much more proud of believe it or not. I’m not really a Browser who looks casually through books or at things for sale, but rather, I am very proficient at toggling between software program that allow me to go to websites from a desktop, tablet or other mobile device. It’s not that impressive, I know. Perhaps I’d get a sense of connection if I’d just be able to participate in the formal giving of one thing and receiving another, but the only Exchanges I partake in are those which have my consumer profile bided on in the buying and selling of online media advertising inventory from multiple ad networks. Bummer. Lord knows at this rate, the only Engagement I’ll ever experience is being a type of metric (page views, duration) leaving any formal agreement to get married to the lucky ones. Hey, a guy can dream! Maybe one day I’ll understand what it’s like to be a Rising Star, shinning bight like those fixed luminous points in the night sky which are large, remote incandescent bodies like the sun…. But in the meantime all I know is that list of banner ad formats recommended by the IAB for universal adoption. Some days I feel like playing in Traffic, but alas, I come to my senses and take solace in the fact that at least I belong to something, like one of those many visitors to a website. I try to cheer myself up. Dammit at least I’m visible and can be looked at!! I won’t be ignored. Unlike a Viewable ad which according to the IAB’s standard must have at least 50% of it on a screen for one second or longer.

Maybe I just need to get offline….
